The winner of the Lake Constance Music Competition Hendrik Blumenroth will play Mendelssohn-Bartholdy and Brahms on the 19th of november.
An extraordinary concert is taking place on the 19th of november at Buchinger: the winner of the Lake Constance Music Competition held by the city of Überlingen in collaboration with the Rotary Club Überlingen, Hendrik Blumenroth, Violoncello 1st prize, is accompanied by Sebastian Seel, Piano. They are playing Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy Sonata for Cello and Piano No. 2 in D major, Op. 58 and Johannes Brahms Sonata for Cello and Piano No. 2 in F major, Op. 99.
Hendrik Blumenroth
was born and raised in Münsterland. Today he studies in the master class of Prof. Wen Sinn Yang at the University of Music in Munich. Last year he won first prize in the Lake Constance Music Competition held by the city of Überlingen in collaboration with the Rotary Club Überlingen. He recently gave guest performances as a soloist in an extended tour of China and Poland. He will be performing in North Rhine-Westphalia as soloist in Cello Concerto No. 1 by J. Haydn together with Georg Mais and the Southwest German Chamber Orchestra Pforzheim before long.
From January 2010, Hendrik Blumenroth will be a member of the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra.
Sebastian Seel
was given his first piano tuition by Martina Hussmann and later by Martina Bauer at the University of Music in Munich. Today he studies with Prof. Michael Schäfer and for song composition he studies with Prof. Helmut Deutsch at the same institute. The awards Sebastian Seel has received include a scholarship of the German National Academic Foundation.
