The artist Karl Duschek has redesigned a wall in the foyer.

50 Elements which revolve in a circular, spiral motion. They symbolize order, dynamic energy, harmony and eternal solipsistic rejuvenation. Otto Buchinger’s creed in life centred on the word : “Onwards!”. This whirl, created by Karl Duschek for Buchinger’s 50th anniversary, visually portrays this element of progression, of enhancement, of not becoming static, of not looking backwards, in an impressive manner. Even if upheavals can momentarily cause us to lose our inner equilibrium, when fasting and in contemplation we find our true rhythm again…the eternal rhythm which beckons us: “Onwards!”.

He was born in Braunschweig 1947, 1964 - 1967 Apprenticeship as lithographer in the classical form. 1967 - 1972 Studies at the State Academy of Fine Arts in Braunschweig. The studies were concluded with a diploma. 1972 beginning of the cooperation with Anton Stankowski at his graphic design studio on the Killesberg in Stuttgart. Since 1975 director of Grafisches Atelier Stankowski + Duschek.

Since 1978 exhibition activities, starting 1985 at the Staatsgalerie Stuttgart, 1991 at the Kunsthalle Göppingen, 1996 at the Museum Gelsenkirchen, and many further exhibitions in Germany and other countries. Karl Duschek works in the free and the applied areas of art and design in Stuttgart.
