House RulesAt a place of rest and relaxation – such as Buchinger am Bodensee – consideration for others and a certain degree of order are essential for the good of the community and to ensure the success of the treatment.
1. For medical reasons, certain rest times must be observed during fasting. To safeguard the necessary rest periods for all pa- tients at midday and at night, please divert all incoming phone calls between 12.30 and 2.00 p.m. and between 11.00 p.m. and 7.00 a.m. to the personal voice box set up as standard. Outgoing calls are however possible at all times, including rest periods. All the outside doors are locked at 11 p.m.
2. The use of mobile phones is not permitted throughout the clinic premises. Mobile phone calls may be made only in your own room with the windows closed (in order not to disturb your fellow guests). We request you to sign a corresponding agreement upon your arrival.
3. Since, in isolated cases, responsiveness may be affected during therapeutic fasting, open water swimming, horseback riding or driving are sub- ject to the permission of the attending doctor.
4. Should a patient stay away from the Buchinger Clinic overnight or remain away from the clinic for a number of days, we reserve the right to discontinue treatment as the patient's absence might jeopardise the success of the stay.
5. The minimum age for treatment at Buchinger is 18 years. Treatment of young people from the age of 16 is possible in exceptional cases if they are accompanied by an adult and if it is discussed and agreed with our management and doctors in advance.
6. A strict ban on smoking and on the consumption of alcohol is enforced at Buchinger am Bodensee, throughout the clinic pre- mises as well as on walks and in patients' rooms. Our doctors will be happy to assist you in giving up smoking. There is a smokers' corner outside the clinic premises.
7. Please do not enter the salon or dining room in sportswear or bathrobes. You are requested to wear European swimwear (bikini, swimsuit, bathing trunks) in the swimming pool area.
8. Pets are not allowed.
9. Buchinger am Bodensee is situated on sloping terrain and is therefore unsuitable for patients who have mobility problems or are reliant on wheelchairs.
10. Compliance with the rules and regulations set out in the House Rules is of vital importance for the success of Buchinger treatment. This also applies to the instructions given by medical staff, nursing staff and other senior personnel.
11. In case of repeated noncompliance with these rules or instructions, the clinic management reserves the right to discontinue treatment and cancel the reservation and/or stay. |
