General terms & conditions

Please note the following conditions for a stay at Buchinger am Bodensee:

1. Your booking can be guaranteed only on the following conditions:

• For your first stay: Return of the registration form within 14 days from receipt of the reservation confirmation (for bookings at short notice: 1 day after receipt of the reservation confirmation) and a prepayment of 1.500,00 €.

• From the 2nd stay: Return of the registration form and a prepayment up to 10 days before arrival (for bookings at short notice: up to 2 days before arrival).

2. A verbally agreed booking that has become legally binding by sending a reservation confirmation remains valid even if we do not receive the registration form and prepayment in due time and therefore requires cancellation in writing.

3. Booking cancellations may be made, in writing only, up to 10 days prior to the arrival date without incurring any costs. For reservations cancelled at shorter notice, you will be invoiced 50 % of the daily rate for five days maximum, unless we are able to rebook the room. This also applies to departure before schedule or arrival after schedule.

4. For 14-day stays a subsequent prepayment of 1.000,00 € and for 21-day stays a subsequent prepayment of 2.000,00 € is requested. In case of long-term stays of more than 28 days, you will be presented with an interim invoice at 4-weekly intervals, which has to be settled promptly.

5. For booking-related reasons, we firmly confirm the room category requested, but not a specific room.

6. Extensions beyond the reserved and confirmed duration and all other alterations concerning your booked stay are only possible upon direct consultation with the reservation department and are mostly subject to a change of room.

7. Only one package can be booked per stay. No reimbursement can be made for unused services included in a package. Contents of the packages cannot be altered.

8. To ensure orderly in-patient treatment, Buchinger reserves the right to engage the services of an interpreter at the patient's expense, should the attending doctor or the clinic management establish such a necessity.

9. The booked room will be available from 4 p.m. on your day of arrival. The room has to be vacated by 11 a.m. on the day of departure, otherwise this day will be additionally charged for.

10. In case of non-compliance with the House Rules, Buchinger is entitled to terminate the treatment at the patient's cost.

11. All services will be invoiced according to the price list in force at the time.

12. For in-patient treatment claiming benefits under a statutory health insurance, the insurer's treatment guarantee and the duly completed and signed registration form must be to hand in writing by no later than two weeks before admission to the clinic. Otherwise the patient will be admitted and subsequently billed as a self-pay patient.

13. The patient will be billed directly according to the rates specified in this price list even if the invoice is presented to an organisation providing financial aid or to a private insurance company for refund.

14. Appointments for individual treatments must be cancelled by 12 p.m. the previous day. After that time they will be invoiced even if the patient fails to make use of them. There are no refunds for meals not taken.

15. One of your credit cards and, for first-time patients, the identity card will be registered on your arrival.

16. Visitors or persons accompanying patients can stay up to three days after consulting the reservation department. From the fourth day onwards they will be considered to be patients and the general rates will be charged. The consultation of a doctor will also be compulsory.

17. The prices including VAT will automatically be adapted to any VAT changes.

18. This price list renders earlier rates, terms and conditions invalid.

19. Buchinger am Bodensee cannot accept any responsibility for loss of valuables, in particular for jewellery, documents and cash. Please use the free-of-charge option of storing valuables in the furniture safe in your room.

20. Use of the Buchinger parking garage and parking spaces is at your own risk.

21. The place of payment and performance is Überlingen, Germany.
