Buchinger therapeutic fasting is fasting under medical guidance. Your health and a sustainably healthier lifestyle are interests close to our heart and form the basis of our medical philosophy. A concept of integrative medicine underlies our approach, combining internistic therapy and diagnostics with psychosomatic medicine, naturopathic treatments and complementary medicine. Every guest, every patient receives medical care by: a doctor, a staff nurse and nursing assistants and in addition, a basic laboratory examination at the beginning of your stay. These services are the basic medical treatment.

Doctor's medical support

The doctor attending you will accompany you step by step through all phases of your stay. In the course of the initial consultation, the attending doctor will acquire a picture of your present state of health, discuss your current situation in life and carry out a thorough physical examination. The doctor will also discuss the course of the stay with you and will recommend medically worthwhile therapies and treatments. There will be two medical consultations a week to monitor your health situation and coordinate your therapies. The final appointment at the end of your stay is intended to pave the way for carrying the success achieved at Buchinger forward into your everyday life.

Care by the nursing team

Every morning the staff nurse assigned to your care will check your state of health, your weight and your blood pressure. She will also see to your liver pack at noon and to colon hygiene. Along with the entire nursing team, she will be at your service seven days a week. This dedicated, individual care creates a healing atmosphere together with a feeling of security and well-being. The sense of security and total care is fostered by the 24-hour presence of a registered nurse in the clinic and 24-hour on-call duty of our clinic doctors.

Basic laboratory examination

It is important to us that we document your current health situation by a detailed analysis of your metabolic parameters. Therefore a basic laboratory examination will be carried out at the beginning of your stay. Should you bring along current laboratory readings taken shortly before your stay, we will carry out a laboratory analysis at the end of your stay to show the positive changes for you.
