ResidencesWhich of our five buildings will become your residence here at Buchinger? All houses are situated in a spacious, terrace-shaped park and face the sunlit south. The cosy balconies will supply you daily with spectacular, inspiring views when you look at Lake Constance and Mainau Island, in particular. Whether you live in the Haupthaus or the Parkvilla, constructed in the years of Germany’s "Wirtschaftswunder", the Villa Larix in the International Style of the Swinging Sixties, the venerable Villa Fichtenau dating from the nineteenth century or the Villa Belgrano, an award-winning modern design from the year 1995 - each house here is enhanced by individualised interior designs, tastefully furnished apartments, with its own artistic and architectural nuances.
Main Building (Haupthaus)Our biggest house (Haupthaus) forms the architectural centrepiece on Buchinger’s premises. This extensively renovated house offers a breathtaking view on Lake Constance because of its clearly designed façade in superb, award-winning Bauhaus tradition. Here you will find the reception area, the shop, and the accounts department, an elegant, spacious lounge, the kitchen with the restaurant, the physiotherapy and massage department, three medical consulting rooms, and the diagnostic department. Most rooms offer an unspoiled view on Lake Constance.
Villa BelgranoClearly constructed lines, an abundance of glass, natural construction material such as maple wood, and the ingenious use of colour, characterise our youngest building’s inner and outer design. Each room - you can choose between a single room, a double room, or a junior suite - has a balcony facing south towards the Swiss and Austrian Alps. The detailed entrance "bridge" with its ship railing, the wooden boards, and the classic deckchairs on the balcony - all evoke the impression to the guest of being on an ocean liner. The large wall of the "Lichthof" (Light Yard) (12x20m) was designed by the conceptual artist Lothar Baumgarten with a defining study called "The Big Lawn" (Das Große Rasenstück).
Villa LarixThe Villa Larix obtained its name from the larch trees in the surrounding park. If you prefer a more confined, cosy, yet sporty environment, you will feel most at home in this all - inclusive house: It has its own massage department, hosts the gymnastics hall, two medical consulting rooms, as well as the new fitness centre - all with a panoramic view on Lake Constance! For a Villa Larix guest all amenities are practically at immediate disposal, the swimming pool borders on this modernised house from the Sixties directly. Villa FichtenauThe romantically set, late classicist villa in nineteenth century style, was the first house in Buchinger's impressive architectural ensemble. The founding of The Buchinger Clinic occurred here. Creative individuals and those in need of serenity, appreciate the privacy of the location, away from the daily operations, the classical furnishings and the comfortable living rooms, each with a view on a small private garden - not to mention the mesmerizing glimpses on Lake Constance through the dense green foliage.
ParkvillaMidway between the Villas Larix and the Villa Belgrano, we find the charming Park Villa with its comfortable south-facing rooms, sunny balcony and an own lounge, in which lectures and films are regularly shown. Every room on the ground floor has a small private garden: Many guests love this villa because of its homely quality.
